You Win in the Locker Room First
Special guest Jon Gordon will be speaking on his book You Win in the Locker Room First at the Convention & Trade Show!
Excerpts from You Win In The Locker Room First The 7 C’s to Build a Winning Team in Business, Sports, and Life - by Jon Gordon and Mike Smith:
Speaking of Sustained Culture = Sustained Success
Jon states – “Culture drives expectations and beliefs. Expectations and beliefs drive behaviors. Behaviors drive habits and habits create the future. If you look at the most successful organizations in business, sports, health care, and education you notice they all have great cultures. “
Contagious With Your Belief – thoughts from Jon:
“Often the difference between success and failure is belief.”
“I am convinced one of the most important things a leader must do is to be positive and optimistic.”
“It turns out that being positive is not just a nice, feel-good way to live but is, in fact, the way to live if you want better health, more meaningful relationships, and great individual and team success.”
A thought from Mike Smith:
“Every loss was a learning opportunity and we had to stay strong and positive in order to move forward. Your team’s attitude and belief will determine how you deal with setbacks, challenges, and losses, so make sure from the beginning you spend as much time cultivating their belief system as you do you offensive and defensive scheme.”
