 Message from the President...
Greetings CADA Members!

I sincerely hope that your 2015-16 school-year is off to a great start!  I know by now that your fall sports and activities seasons are well underway, and that means your days are long and the demands on your time are ever increasing.  As I think about those long days spent in the gym, on the field, on the course, and on the courts, I think about the dedicated individuals that make those activities possible, you the athletic director.  I know the time and dedication that each of you gives every day so that our kids and coaches can have positive experiences through their involvement in co-curricular athletics and activities, experiences that will influence them for the rest of their lives.  Knowing the amazing people that make up this fraternity, CADA is extremely proud to be the unified voice of Colorado’s athletic directors!  Taking your example, your CADA organization is committed and dedicated to establishing new avenues and taking on new challenges as we embrace the important role of representing Colorado’s athletic directors!  As we look forward to 2015-16, we are ready to embrace those challenges and to explore new ways to reach out to you and to offer you an unprecedented level of support, resources, and representation.  Your CADA organization will continue to offer a top-level annual conference with nationally renowned speakers, breakout sessions, and incredible opportunities for networking with colleagues.  Although we are very proud of the annual CADA Conference, we want you to know that your CADA organization is so much more!  As we venture into 2015-16 we are very excited to show you some of the many ways that your CADA organization can be a huge resource to you every day and in many ways!  We look forward to sharing these new possibilities and hearing from you as we move into this new chapter as an organization!  Best of luck to you and to all of your teams during the Fall season!  See you soon!

In Memory - Adam Koski

Koski, Adam James, age 38 of Lakewood. Adam was born October 14, 1976 in Marshfield, Wisconsin and died August 2, 2015 at St. Anthony Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Utzinger Koski; his parents, James and Jean Koski of Loyal, Wisconsin; siblings, Matt and Grant Koski, both of Loyal, Wisconsin, Jane (Chris) Koski Bartine of Lakewood, Colorado; grandma, Evelyn Koski of Loyal, Wisconsin; as well as numerous other family and friends.

On Sunday, August 2nd, we lost a really
big piece of ourselves when we lost Adam. It was too soon to lose such an amazing man. A son, brother, husband, and friend to all. Adam loved everyone.

He grew up in the small town of Loyal, Wisconsin and just like the name of his hometown, he was "loyal" for love and friendship to everyone he knew.

Adam had the best laugh and smile and his eyes are something we will never forget. We are incredibly grateful to have known Adam for the amount of time he was here. One day we will meet again and be together.

"2 thumbs up forever"

How to Be Coachable: Advice from Expert Coaches

Much is made of a coach’s ability to lead a team and individual athletes to their optimum performance, whether in a high school context or as part of a professional sports team - or anywhere in between. Coaches are frequently retained or released on the basis of this performance, and in high-powered professional situations, the implications are financial as well as results- and bragging rights-oriented.
